SC122 - Photograph something that depicts who you are or what you feel...

I love to visit GLOW Eindhoven, which is a free-to-attend light art festival in the heart of Eindhoven, lasting one week, illuminating the dark November nights since 2006.
This is one of the highlights of this years edition. It is called Knoop XL, created by Michel Suk. Beams moving up and down in the air.

More info about this light project:
Eindhoven is growing. Drilling, building, and hammering are in full swing. In the next twenty years, the Fellenoord area (Eindhoven’s station district) will transform with towering buildings, more green spaces, and many new homes. What is now an office environment will eventually become a vibrant residential and living area. Can you picture it already?

Michel Suk created Metropolis to give you a glimpse into the future during GLOW. The name comes from Greek, meaning “mother city.” When Michel visited the model of KnoopXL, he felt a strong sense of Eindhoven’s transition: from city to metropolis. To illustrate this, he places a beam of light at each location where a large new building will rise. It shows how the area will expand, visualized through light art, stretching from the PSV stadium to the Dommel River.
To put it in numbers: about 15,000 residents will live here in the future, creating a space to live, work, and enjoy recreation.

Metropolis is actually the largest light artwork GLOW Eindhoven has ever had. Stretching approximately 500 meters, it covers a large part of the route, with light beams outlining the future skyline of Eindhoven. This unique light artwork is not just a spectacle; it showcases how Eindhoven continues to evolve as a city of growth, innovation, and sustainability. Metropolis is both a tribute to the future and an invitation to be part of it.
