unexpected approach, great idea

What a contrast! This image reminds me of the Battle at Antietam where what came to be called "Bloody Lane". Twenty three thousand soldiers died on that day.

We had the chance to visit that Battlefield on a day that re enactors were there. It was an experience that has left a lasting impression with me.

Luc if you are interested in the U.S. Civil war and The Battle of Antietam the following link is done well. It's almost 45 minutes long but I learned so much about what I had seen that day.

the battle of Antietam took place in 1862. It was the bloodiest day in United States history, with a combined tally of 22,717 dead, wounded, or missing....
