Liminal experience

The sunday challenge = Liminal spaces -- there are 2 definitions, feel free to portray whichever suits you best. 1) of or relating to a transitional or initial stage of a process 2) occupying a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold.
------------------------------------
While driving last week behind this 1960 Opel Classic I felt like being in the liminal zone between history and reality: my early youth rolling before me, tempting me to reach out and touch. In reality all I could do is keep my eyes on the road and try to make a cellphone shot. At home I added this vintage look.

Good observation. Indeed familiar objects create a zone of "reality," especially if they have emotion attached to them. Well defined and expressed for the challenge.

What a great description of your feelings. I know that feeling too.

I really like how this turned out, Luc.

A real classic car! Yesterday I read the average age of a car going to the scrapyard nowadays is 18 years, this one is roughly three times as old as that.
The giveaway are the stripes on the road, these are modern, the manhole cover on the foreground put things in perspective.

Nicely done ... just a shame you didn't manage to catch up with it though as it would've been great to see more photos of the car! ;)

...taking that shot would be subject to a fine of 60€ in Germany ;-)). Anyway, I know the feeling when you come across something from your own past.
