HFF Harbin Manchuria China 20th October 1983

Steam on the Chinese main lines was still commonplace way back in autumn 1983 & I spent 3 weeks on a Railway Transport & Photography tour savouring it.

These China Railways QJ 2-10-2 locomotives add their contributions to the general early morning fug hanging over Harbin engine shed as they are prepared for the road.

HFF to everyone. Have a cracking weekend!

A fine capture here from the 80's in China reminding us of earlier years in Britain too. Thanks for sharing. Well done.

Well framed and captured Pete. A lovely glimpse into the Chinese early world of steam. The tour must have been fascinating and you must also have had the chance to experience some of the other aspects of life and culture over there

HFF and best wishes Carol

Great railway mood. If that was in 1983, you could easily add another 100 years to it... HFF Pete.
