HWW Leicester East Midlands 23rd November 2025

A view of the Roman baths through the ruins of the Jewry Wall in the city centre.

Leicester, known as Ratae Corieltaivorum, was established by the Romans in the first century AD on the site of an older native settlement. The Romans developed the city and by 145 AD the public baths were established in this location.

HWW to everyone. Have a great day.

Great composition, Pete. Just looking at the thickness, the Romans certainly built walls to last! HWW.
