HWW Nottingham 6th June 2024

Nottingham railway station was first opened by the Midland Railway in 1848 and rebuilt by the same company in 1904, with much of the current building dating from the later date.

This decorative terracotta wall is located above the entrance to the ticket hall and the railway's intertwined initials MR are in the centre. The Midland actually disappeared into the LMS at Grouping in 1923.

HWW to everyone. Enjoy the day.
