Largemouth Black Bass

An 11 inch long Largemouth Black Bass, caught in 10 acre Lake Loree at the Sunny Hill Resort in New York's Catskill Mountains. Located in Greenville in Greene County, the resort opened in 1920, and has been my family's and my favorite vacation spot since 1946.

The Largemouth Bass is one of the most popular sport fishing species in North America, and the world record is over 23 pounds (caught decades ago). My catch was less than a pound! But they are beautiful fish and fight very hard. Fishing gives me so much pleasure, relaxation, fresh air and exercise, and peace!

Thanks so much, Cheryl, for your continued support! I'm doing the best I can to stay active and in touch with friends like you and family. I go back upstate to the Sunny Hill Resort in early October for my last visit of the year, for four days. I pray that you and yours are all safe and well. John

The whole package of place, fishing and relaxation sounds great! It's stories like these that make me wish I could catch fish.
