Gebouwen - Buildings

by Diederik Santema
The Sunday Challenge: beeldvullend

The Sunday Challenge: fillling the frame

This quay used to be a hive of activity: all kinds of goods were loaded and unloaded here. The sheds and warehouses have now been replaced by apartment buildings that resemble old warehouses in design.

Ships can still moor here.

I thought it could be the original restored warehouses...

The brick retains the look of the warehouses and the long narrow format goes well with the boats.

The aspect ratio and composition makes it look stretched. Almost an optical illusion.

We have a lot of recycled warehouses that look very similar. I especially like the arched windows on the right.

If they could not save the old originals buildings at least they replaced them in the same style. ;)

Great detail to be seen large.
