This has been a remarkable season (after 2 bad years of low sightings of any butterflies) . Three new to "Snow's Light " butterflies and this one , a Gemmed Satyr came today.

Much stalking and chasing ensued and 4 reasonable photos out of about 30 !

Where I live is about as far West as this beauty comes.

This takes my butterfly count here to 43 species .
