Six Little Hummingbirds at Dusk !

This was at 8.30pm this evening and I was rapidly losing the light !

From the fuss going on you would never believe there is a 2nd feeder 3 feet to my left !

I have actually never seen so many Ruby Throated Hummingbirds here at one time ! There is normally the migrated pair and their offspring only

This is fun! So fast, and maybe I do have some around here since the sound is very familiar.

Pam J replied to Jim Boynton:

Thankyou Jim !

The background main noise is tree frogs and cicada's.. the tiny little tweets are the Hummers swearing at each other !

How lucky you are, Pam ! Would give a lot to see that in the reality ...
What kind of food are you giving them ?
Wish you a nice Sunday, dear friend.

Thankyou Christiane !

Its Hummingbird Nectar you either buy it already made up.. or in powder form to add water too or make it yourself

To make yourself its a 4 to 1 ratio . 1 cup of white sugar dissolved in 4 cups of water

What a fantastic video of these gorgeous little things - is the planter full of water or some kind of syrup. I've never seen them live before - but this way it's wonderful
