Three-toed Box Tortoise (m) (USA = ' Turtle ' ) Terrapene carolina triunguis
He was in top rate condition too. Nice weight.. clean skin and undamaged shell and full grown at about 6 inches long.
This is the sort of land they inhabit..woodland and undistrurbed but I have only seen a couple before.. both females.
