Gentleness ~ Misty

Where in this wide world can man find nobility without pride,
Friendship without envy,
Or beauty without vanity?
Here, where grace is served with muscle
And strength by gentleness confined
He serves without servility; he has fought without enmity.
There is nothing so powerful, nothing less violent.
There is nothing so quick, nothing more patient.
England's past has been borne on his back.
All our history is in his industry.
We are his heirs, he our inheritance.

This was Misty. My idiot neighbours horse that they didnt care about.

I used to make sure she had food and water and Love.My dogs used to sit by her on our side of the fence and they learned to share treats.

One day last November she was taken away.

We loved you Misty.. we still do.. and wherever you are... either on this mortal coil or at the Rainbow Bridge.... you KNOW we love you still

Oh now that brought tears Pam. Such a lovely horse, thankfully she had you and the dogs to show her love and affection along with food water and treats. I get angry when people don't care for the animals they are responsible for.!!! Great picture of Misty and the poem is wonderful. :)x

Pam J replied to Clickity Click:

I am very selective about the word "hate" and I hate this neighbour. Forgiveness isnt a right.. I dont turn the other cheek.. nor will I for this useless waste of space.

My gods believe and enact Karma.. and it WILL come to him.

I love Karma, especially when it bites an idiot in the ass!
I also use the word hate so very seldom, it's a very strong word!

Pam J replied to Shuttering Yukon:

The poem was recited at The Horse Of The Year Show every year in London.

It still makes me cry.
