The LED ones .. especially the mid sized ones that have the "melted" look are better than nothing . Not the same.. but ok... and you do get the ambiance.

I have a dear friend who is on liquid oxygen. She cant have naked flames and so missed her candles. I made a graduated set of LED ones.. and decorated the base plate I used.

She loved it ! It really was a joy to see her face.

You might want to consider the idea. Your girls would be safe.. and you would get the "candlelight"
