This "freezing rain accumulating ice" is always so beautifully clear.

James.... one ice storm about 6 years ago was terrible... the accumulation went on for days... and all that broke the silence was the sound of trees breaking... major trees(We lived in the town then as well) The next week all you heard was chainsaws. The power went down in 3/4 of Oklahoma for 3 weeks.... they were sending linemen in from 8 States..

We were on a small loop run by the smaller power company and they managed to keep most of the lines working... I had people sleeping on the floors and was cooking for the 5000 it seemed.
