Bradford Pear in full Autumn glory !

Snow white flowers in Spring.... deep green glossy leaves in Summer and blazing russet leaves in Autumn ! A Pear genus... but no fruit. Planted much in these parts.. and the ice storms smash them to pieces.... That this one and its neighbour just behind it have survived intact is pure mystery !

And... I have probably hexed them now !

Wow, soooooo beautiful! The color just glows. Sounds like a wonderful tree to have for an ornamental. I'm glad this one has survived. I hope it lives for 100 more years! :)

Thankyou Janet.... they are not a long lived tree sadly.. and get more and more fragile.

Gorgeous color. Didn't know they were so susceptible to ice. Would probably do well here since we don't get much winter snow or ice.

They really are beautiful in every season Ron... They grow fairly fast and have a beautiful shape. You need to give them a reasonable 35-40 foot free space so they can shape nicely. Its just a shame they split down with snwo and ice.. but without that....
