Ahwahnee Dining Room
Ansel Adams earned a modest living as a stage performer in the Ahwahnee Hotel in the late 1920s before he became famous for his photography. Ansel was a man of many talents although I am grateful that he found his true calling - photography. His photos of the natural beauty of the West served to garner public support for the preservation of such areas within the National Parks system.
This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera and KOWA 1:3.5/55 lens with a Kowa L39•3C(UV) ø67 filter using Kodak Portra 800 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered in Photoshop.
