From Another Age

If these logs seem out of place lying on the surface of a barren desert to you, it is because they came from a conifer forest that grew 220 million years ago. The petrified wood remains were exposed by erosion on their long journey through time.

This photo was taken by a Hasselblad 500C medium format film camera with a Carl Zeiss Distagon 1:4 f=50mm lens and Zenza Bronica SL39•3C(UV) filter using Kodak Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

I love that place and you've captured it nicely! I wouldn't want this to get around, but about 55 years ago, I picked up a little piece of one those trees. Still have it, too.
