No Fishing in the Moat

by Scott Holcomb
The castle authorities have erected this fence as a measure to keep the realm’s serfs from poaching the royal fish stocks.

This photo was taken by a Hasselblad 500C medium format film camera with a Carl Zeiss Distagon 1:4 f=50mm lens and Hasselblad/63 1xHZ-0 filter using Fuji 160NS film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Oh well, looking at that muddy moat, I think the royals can keep their fish, as far as I'm concerned :D

Impressive replica of a medieval castle, I must say. It has a "feel" of authenticity that one seldom sees in European buildings' replicas in the U.S. How is their wine (if you tasted it)?

Belated HFF, Scott!
