Scott Holcomb replied to Gudrun:

Ipernity's geotag abilities are a bit off track - Inverness (California) is a tiny settlement about 35 kms away. It must have been given it's name due to persistent ocean fog in the summer months and it's location on the shores of Tomales Bay, a submerged rift valley similar to a loch.
