Super Drone

by Scott Holcomb
The D-21 served as a supersonic snoop launched at high altitude from a M-21 aircraft. It was designed to carry a single high-resolution photographic camera over a pre-programmed path, then release the camera module into the air for retrieval, followed by the drone’s self-destruction.
So, this is actually a very sophisticated disposable camera created in 1962 !

This photo was taken from a Hasselblad 500C medium format film camera with a Carl Zeiss Distagon 1:4 f=50mm T* lens using Kodak Portra 160 film, scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

For a 'disposable camera', it must have been quite expensive... It resembles an engine from an SR71.
