ipernity is a wonderful member owned, non-commercial worldwide photosharing community.
or BECOME A MEMBER! you can share more than just photos. easily connect with people who speak other languages - there are translations for every comment. all levels of photographers are welcome.
from the 'about' page: Since ipernity‘s web service is 100% members-owned, it is unaffected by ideological, political, religious and/or other interests. Most of all, it is independent from financial interests of investors. Its only obligation is to promote the interest and requirements of the community. User‘s privacy, private data, and content, are protected and will neither be analysed nor used by anyone for commercial or other marketing purposes. Material released for publication may appear in search engines, but nowhere else.
Well done Laura I hope it encourages more people to become club members
It may be my eyes but the blue text is not that easy to read I think it needs to be a bit lighter to stand out
Thanks - my husband said the same thing about the blue. May be the monitors as on my computer it stands out fine. BUT, I think the 'donate' word is the most important on the photo, the text not on the photo says everything needed. I hope.
Thanks. They say that you have to just keep asking - and since we can't really change our login or banners on the front pages of ipernity (yet!) to do the ask, i thought I would do what I could.
I have basically no followers on twitter and instagram, but I do have a few on facebook. Even considering posting this on my flickr account but am a bit afraid as there is a group of ex-ipernity people there that aren't happy with some things here. I might do it anyway...
Dear raingirl, you really worked hard on this creation, but I've to agree with Peter Castell on the dark blue. In order to be more efficient in soliciting donations, the font color shouldn't be too restrained, i.e. dark on a dark background as here, and the words that emphasize our unique selling point should be easy to read.
Regarding to this statement "Material released for publication may appear in search engines, but nowhere else.", please allow a hint. Images that are published on ipernity often appear, as proven, not only in search engines, but are also stored by one or the other search engine and made available to their users worldwide without the knowledge and consent of the author/s. If one wants to prevent this, one has to indicate all personal data. However, one can assume that these data are used for a flourishing data trade...
Regarding the font color, there seems to be a consensus that it's too dark. I don't have time to re-do it, so I hope that the important words, Donate, every dollar helps, and become a member - encourage people to read the text included with the photo.
If you want to create one I would be happy to share it around. Or feel free to share mine with your own text attached! I've shared here on ipernity because I know that even not all club members know about what's going on and so I put the 'ask' out there to try and spread the news as best I can.
As to the ""Material released for publication may appear in search engines, but nowhere else.", I just quoted our 'about' page. I almost didn't include that part, but as I said, I don't have much time. Hopefully people are aware enough that we are just like any other site, that people can grab their photos etc (in unapproved ways) and share them around. I think the point is that ipernity doesn't officially allow this, nor does ipernity directly connect with businesses and give over our photos.
Thanks! I'm encouraging people to
FEEL FREE TO SHARE ANYWHERE YOU WANT (ipernity and elsewhere)
You can download my photo and put it on your photo stream (I would copy and include the description as well) - or suggest groups for me to add it to - as obviously my photos don't go out to everyone here on ipernity.
Thanks, Jenny. I'm trying.
FEEL FREE TO SHARE ANYWHERE YOU WANT
I'm encouraging people to share here on ipernity as well as anywhere else. (Feel free to make group suggestions for me to add this to if you want) I would just include the description also (or at least the part with the links).
I don't really have followers to speak of on instagram and twitter, but i do have a few on facebook. even one person donating i think would be a win.
Dear raingirl, the fundraising campaign ends on 15 May...
I like to help when and where I can, but for good reasons I decided weeks ago not to publish an own draft.
Having almost not included the said part from "About ipernity" is certainly an advantage, because it would have been too much of a good thing.
What ultimately counts is that you have been willing and given your best within your possibilities.
