Hommage

Quand la bêtise se joint à la haine, j'ai mal à mon humanité.
Je n'ai jamais été un lecteur assidu de Charlie Hebdo. Mais je ne serais pas ce que je suis aujourd'hui si, il y a de nombreuses années déjà, sa lecture n'avait pas bousculé quelques-uns de mes préjugés et quelques-unes de mes certitudes de jeune homme de bonne famille. Je rends hommage aux défenseurs de la liberté d'expression, en ce compris les deux policiers, stupidement assassinés ce jour.

There are wars , including unjust wars, in Mid-East and in many countries of the world. I don't see the relationship with Charlie Hebdo, that's just a satirical, pacifist and anti-racist weekly newspaper. They don't call to hatred. They are just irreverent. That's not a crime, in a democracy.
Their killers aren't defenders of an offended religion. That may be what they believe. That's certainly what they want we to believe. But they are just murderers ! They aren't worth giving up a basic principle of democracy as freedom of press.
