The Oranjepark is the oldest citypark in Apeldoorn and was officially opened on 13 May 1876. The landscape architects, father and son Hoogeweg, were responsible for the design of the park, which was laid out in the English landscape style.

This time, I’ve taken a few photos during the unusual dry period that the Netherlands – and Apeldoorn too – was experiencing during the summer of 2026. The lawns are mostly dried out and brown. Thanks to a daily splash of water, the flowerbeds are still in full bloom.
