I just needed a change of colour and subject, so had to dig into my archives last night. Thought this would be a change from winter scenes, old barns, and tiny owl images! I prefer a plainer background for my Lily photos, which is no doubt why I never posted this one before. Maybe someone who lives in Boston will see this and it will remind them that spring and summer really will arrive eventually! Those poor people over on the east coast - what a brutal time they've been having and continue to have, with cold temperatures and THAT much snow!

This photo was taken at the Reader Rock Garden on 10 August 2011. Last year, 2014, was not a good year for getting out to photograph flowers (or most things, actually), thanks to severe pain from inflammation of the rotator cuffs in both shoulders, plus weather-related reasons including a lot of rain. The devastating snow storm in September, that damaged or destroyed thousands of trees in the city, closed the parks and natural areas.
