Snow + red barn = a happy day
Taken from the top of a hill makes this red barn look almost like a child’s wooden block toy. There was just something I liked about it, in a snowy setting.
Two days ago, 14 November 2014, my daughter and I went to the Spruce Meadows Christmas Market. Afterwards, on a short drive SW of the city, we stopped to take a photo or two of this small, red barn. It was windy and oh, so bitterly cold and painful on the fingers!
A short way further, we stopped to photograph the “Famous Five” row of five old, red granaries that are popular with local photographers. The farm was recently sold, so everyone is hoping that the new owners will leave these granaries standing. The gate was open on 14 November and we could see several contractors working on something way out in the middle of the huge field.
