An old photo from the archives, taken on 8 September 2011 in the ENMAX Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo. Posted mainly as a change from the blues and whites of winter, and owls, lol! This is an enormous leaf of a Sacred Lotus plant, just after the fine mist of the sprinkler had been turned on. I haven't been back to the Zoo since the Alberta Flood of the Century devastated so many parts of Calgary, including the Zoo, in June 2013.
