Water droplets on a Lily pad l res

Yet another photo from my photo archives. This whole week has been brutally cold - a deep-freeze with windchill temperatures down to -40C. Far too cold to go out anywhere, including with my camera, and I don't want to risk getting stuck in a snowdrift in these temperatures. Monday's weather was just so awful - a blizzard, with the wind howling around my house.

Took this photo on 20 September 2011 at the Calgary Zoo. Fine sprinklers were turned on and created tiny water droplets on the Lily pads. I remember standing by this tiny pond a couple of years ago, and a photographer with a large lens was there also. He was telling me that some photographers will actually pick flowers from the tropical plants next to the pond, and place them by the Lily pads, just to get the photo they want!

Strange problem Anne ... even with my 9 year PC ... loading is fine on both Ipernity and on Flickr where I load my photos used for the comments section ... I really do not have much on my old PC ... still with Win XP, a 80 GB HD, 2 MB of memory ... but even with such an old PC, it has a very fast 2.3 GHz processor ... and I've been told not to buy another PC by the Geek Squad, as this IBM PC was one on the best ever made ... if things get slow, I clean all of my cache, flies, cookies, etc and run a SpeedUpPC and RegistryBooster SW and things are fine again for another week. I will assume this is within any browser you are using??

You've certainly got a good computer there, Art, despite being nine years old! And of course, you know what you are doing when it comes to computers (unlike some of us, lol). My present computer has a 500 GB hard drive (mainly photos), 2.20 GHz, 3.00 GB RAM. I now upload to here and Flickr using Chrome. It works fine for Flickr, but not here anymore. I'll try and remember to try and upload using Internet Explorer (it's an old version) tonight and see if I have the same problem. I have daily problems with Explorer, freezing my computer many times, so I try and avoid using it. I ran a disk cleanup just the other day. Sometimes, the last few days, it will say a photo has been uploaded to ipernity, but then when I look, there is no sign of it on my photostream. It's very strange.

Chrome has been giving me some problems of late on YouTube, it freezes my PC and I have to re-boot ... so I use FF and Opera to load on both Ipernity and Flickr, anhad had no problems ... Opera is my main browser, even though it is not supported by Ipernity or Flickr ... but it has worked fine for 3 years on both blogs. Try FF if you have it .. as it maybe the apps are different on Flickr vs Ipernity and affecting Ipernity using Chrome??

Hope you get this resolved ...
