This was a new individual that I was lucky enough to see yesterday afternoon, when I drove NW of Calgary. No luck finding any of the usual Great Gray Owls that I see, but I bumped into friend, Ron, and followed him a bit further than I've driven before. Such a treat to see this different owl, perched on a fence post at the edge of the road. Unfortunately, the cold wind was ruffling its fine feathers, but still, what a treat!
