Ooops, I cropped this very distant House Finch image a little too much, resulting in such a grainy image. I very rarely get to see a House Finch within camera distance, so wanted to add this to my Birds of Alberta set. After a morning walk at the Erlton/Roxborough Natural Area yesterday, I stayed to photograph a few flowers in St. Mary's Cemetery and this little bird flew to a bird feeder that was hanging there. I thought it was such a neat idea that someone had hung a rather beautiful feeder there - maybe someone's nearby tombstone belonged to a long-time bird lover. I like to think so : )
