Spring in Weaselhead
What a relief it was yesterday when the Winter Storm Warning brought a lot less snow than forecast : ) At least to parts of the city that I saw yesterday. When I woke up yesterday morning, all I had were about 3" of snow to clear from my car, plus a layer of stubborn ice beneath. The limited snow made the Glenmore Reservoir and Weaselhead look beautiful. This photo was taken from North Glenmore Park, looking towards Weaselhead, which is beyond the green, metal bridge that can be seen crossing the Elbow River. We saw several Trumpeter Swans on open-water channels on the Reservoir - always good to hear and see them as they return.
