The Complete Book of North American Butterflies

Four days ago, I spent two or three hours at the Calgary Zoo, including photographing a few of the tropical butterflies. When I arrived home, there was a padded envelope in my mailbox, and inside was this beautiful, newly published book, edited by Paul A. Opler. The timing was very nice : )

"Paul A. Opler is an internationally known butterfly and moth expert, author, lecturer, and conservationist. He spent four years as a post-doctoral research biologist in Costa Rica, and twenty-three years with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He has authored more than 150 publications, including Moths of Western North America, A Field Guide to Western Butterflies, and A Field Guide to Eastern Butterflies. " Taken from the Amazon website.
