- can't begin to describe the beauty felt here
- am sitting on the grass watching the waves
- as they lap against rocks on the shore
- in Melbourne, Florida USA

- just before meeting up with fellow drummers
- for a class given by the late Layne Redmond
- Layne was a Soul of wonder, talent and so much more
- one of those you never forget
- an honor to meet and learn techniques of a frame drum

- when I found this quote, it fit Layne
- she was a beautiful soul
- who came briefly into my life, but left many things for me
- those who knew her would understand

" Beauty is not caused. It is.
- Emily Dickenson

One thing Layne Redmond did, -- she came - sat next to me and asked "may I play your frame drum?"

Well, of course !

Layne had never seen one as large as the frame drum I had with me. Of course, the music she brought out of it was much different than my efforts.

I'm still working on it ... and think of Layne whenever I play it.

There are those who we cross paths with in our life journey that leave their footprints on our soul and it seems Layne was one of those who touched you deeply. Nice tribute Peggy. xxx

I thought it was a Cornwall shot of mine at first, Peggy! I didn't know you played the drums!
A fine tribute!

A beautiful shot with the lovely ripples at the water surface beautifully balancing the equally lovely rocks. A beautiful quote too.
