Southgate Shopping Center ... the Publix grocery has been demolished...
.. the stately palm are also gone...
.. keeping a photographic record
.. called the home office..
.. no response other than, " well, I'm sure they will put some palms back"
.. not a happy camper !

At 4:35pm DST, received this message from the 'Property Manager':

"... in response to your question regarding the Palms that have been removed from the property. Yes, the Palms were removed because of construction, one of them was damaged from the equipment and the others were starting to show signs of stress.

Once construction is completed we will be planting new trees in their place. New plant life will be planted in the islands and on the backside of the property..."

.. still watching... beauty should not be removed for convenience ( totally understand if a tree is diseased ).... will keep you updated.. know lots of y'all don't even know who Publix Inc is.. but.. Google them... quite a large group...
