The obelisk.

At S.Peters square stands an uninscribed Egyptian obelisk of red granite, 25.5 m (84 ft) tall, supported on bronze lions and surmounted by the Chigi arms in bronze, in all 41 m (135 ft) to the cross on its top. The obelisk was originally erected at Heliopolis, Egypt, by an unknown pharaoh.

A superb capture with the muted colours and soft dreamy look a lovely series Annemarie, there must be a huge amount of photos taken in harsh bright light. I wonder what the light is that can be seen through 2 of the columns

I love this overall colour and the set of it all.
Maybe beacuse is very peaceful.
Maybe because it is the overall harmony.
Thank you.
