Lightship 95

Once a beacon, at South Goodwin Sands off the Kentish coast, it is now a recording studio moored at Trinity Buoy Wharf in the Docklands. One of three (550 tonnes!) steel-hulled vessels, built in 1939 to the same design, it features a central light tower and originally had crew quarters.

Lightships become rarities. Retired from its original purpose, this is a nice and well preserved one.
