"The Lion Sleeps Tonight"

~ Explored! ~ Thank you very much :-)))

I know I keep repeating myself but please forgive me for being a poor contact at the mo. I am trying to get up-to-date. I actually thought I was catching up on 'Soundtrack to Life' posts but I have just looked and I see I still have some 14 photos/pieces of music to comment upon/listen to :-)

And, also, lots of non 'StoL' photos to go through :-)

Just having a short break and uploading one of my slightly obscure links for 'StoL' :-)

I know it wasn't night when I took this shot and, of course, this lion is not in the jungle but it does look to me like sleep is imminent :-)

That was fun Roger. How great to see the group that sings that song after all these years. A rather ingenious link to the song too and all is forgiven for it not being night time. I don't think Mr. Lion minds at all.

Super shot, and great light. The juxtaposition of the statue and starkly rectangular architecture works very well!

Oh dear Roger, I'm such a dim wit when it comes to computers, I see your pictures but never get to hear the music, In this case I just got redirected to You tube and a log in page, No music!
Anyway I like the picture.

Roger Bennion replied to HappySnapper:

Cheers very much, Maurice. When you click on the link it should take you directly to the video and the music should start playing automatically. It is odd you get a YouTube log in page....this has got me a bit puzzled :-)

Well composed and taken and, as you may not have had a tripod with you, I'll forgive you not waiting till night for the shot, Roger. A great old song - was it also Miriam Makeba (sp?)

Cheers very much, George. And, thank you for your forgiveness :-))) Thanks also for faving my work. Yes, it seems to ring a bell with me that Miriam Makeba may have recorded this song as well :-)
