Beached

The Cheynes II. This was once a whale catcher operating in the Southern Ocean off Albany in Western Australia. It was lying derelict at the Albany town jetty but broke free in a gale in 1992 and beached itself on a sandbank just off the Vancouver Peninsula in Shoal Bay, a part of Princess Royal Harbour, Albany, WA, where it lies to this day.

Great day to photograph this. The horizon being so indistinct adds to the age of the boat and takes one back in time.
