lovely!
you've captured the foggy moodiness very well.

Ditto "wanderlust." There is something very special about Frisco fog and that bridge. Love how the hawk/falcon decided to add to your photograph!

good mood, and the bird was very friendly to add to this mood, by being in the right place at the right moment. Did you wait for it to be there?
btw I would straighten the bridge (or tilt it even more to make it more dynamic if you wish).

Nicely captured mood scene! But the big question is ...did you go down to the beach and get some shots from below? That spot right there leads down to a fairly isolated beach...can't think of its name right now.

@ Phoebe: Thanks! :-)
@ Lorraine: Thank you! :-) The bird was so friendly to stay in the picture until I clicked - which is quite unusual!
@ Mark: Thanks - as to the bird I thought so too! :-) It was circling about but usually birds vanish the moment I take my camera. I am quite astonished this one didn't! ;-) - How can I tilt the pic?
@ Gerry: Thank you! :-)
@ Sharon: Thanks - also for the fave! :-)
@ Mike: Thanks! :-) Unfortunately there was no time to go down to the beach - it was a bus tour and the driver is like an officer who tells you what you are allowed to do and for how long!! :-)) I only had a whole day in SF - there wouldn't have been a chance to see most of the interesting spots otherwise...

Well done! That bridge is a familiar scene -- been over it many times. From the way the bird holds its wingtips, I would guess it's a Turkey Vulture. If not, then it would be a Red Tailed Hawk. Both are very common there. Congrats on Explore by the way.
Bee Nee 11y
Thanks a lot, Kim! Also for the info on the bird of prey! :-) I always wonder how do I find out I am on Explore?? Just have a look every day?

I wondered why you had so few photos of SF, Eva, but I just now read in your comments that you were there only for a day. That's really not much. You seem to have had a good one though. Great! :-)
Bee Nee 10y
Thanks for your comment, Robert! :-) Well, actually I had some more photos but deleted them to have more space here for new pics. It took me a while to comply and buy myself a pro account. It would be a bit boring to upload them all again but I might do it in between. Yes - SF is a great city and I would have loved to stay there for longer. My aunt was generous and we stayed for two nights at the Sheraton Hotel near the Embarcadero...

Great colours ! I like really much that photo ! When did you go to San Francisco ?
Bee Nee 10y
Sorry Thierry - I almost missed this one... I went to San Francisco last year in March but just for two days. My destination was Salem in Oregon where I was invited as a speaker and stayed with a friend for a week. On my return flight I went via San Francisco where I met my aunt. We had a gorgeous time together ... and it's a great city!

I like that city too ! Then you have family members in San Francisco ! You are really lucky ! I would like to return to San Francisco ! When I was there that was a open-minded city ! Lots of museums and exhibitions ! Culturally interesting...
Bee Nee 10y
My aunt lives in Sacramento - but the flights go into San Francisco. So last time she invited me to stay with her in a hotel in Frisco. But we had only two days so we decided on a sightseeing tour on a bus to see the most important places. -- When was your last time in SF?
Thierry Nicolas
10y
That was in 1999. We spent one week there ! That was great ! Have you ever been to Sacramento ?
Bee Nee 10y
Sacramento ... I went there for a few weeks when I was a teenager. We also went to Sand Diego for ten days and lived on a house boat there. :-)
Thierry Nicolas

Great experience I think to live on a house boat... Then you know quiet well California ? Have you ever been to Yosemite, King Cayon National Park or Sequoia National Park ?
Bee Nee 10y
It was a great time ... but I can't say I know California well. It's quite some time ago and we unfortunately didn't visit these places... Well, still enough for me to see there. ;-)

You are right this is really an opportunity to go there ! When I was in San Francisco I visited Sonoma and Napa Valley ! I have to say that was a really great experience for some like me who is interested in the production of wines... That was really interesting because the grapes grew on flat fields... That was really incredible for me...
Bee Nee 10y
:-) Thanks for the fave, Lilian! :-)) (Sometimes I think my old little tiny camera wasn't too bad either ;-))
