Trendy skier and Porsche

Copied from an old slide. One of my colleagues reclining on a Snowtrac vehicle on the edge of the Antarctic plateau, near Mt Henderson just outside Mawson station. The surface is hard snow-free blue ice. As would be expected, how else would a trendy skier travel except in a Porsche-powered vehicle? The Snowtracs had Porsche industrial engines. :-) This one was fitted with sounding equipment for glaciology measurements, Best viewed large.

I so like the view to the shape of the plateau
so cold . . but so fresh and more healthy there
than here at the moment, I think, anyway :)
