Collared
I could hardly believe my luck when, viewed with a zoom lens, a bird in our driveway turned out to be a Collared Sparrowhawk (Accipiter cirrhocephalus) and its freshly captured meal. My bird guide book tells me these are found across Australia, but are uncommon. I had time for only this shot before it left, taking its meal with it.
Explored.

We had a sparrowhawk in the garden last year, so I stopped feeding the small birds for a while.
