A more gentle photo, and not as exciting as Norway. Nevertheless a good experience, George.

Thanks, Amelia. Actually, I found driving in the narrow roads, especially in Cornwall, far more "exciting" than I expected! :)

My girlfriend refuses to drive on them, but then she does have the additional problem of not being used to driving on the left (same here these days, though!). A fine shot!

Apologies for the slow reply, now home and catching up! Thanks, Andy, I'd have to say my eyes were like saucers at single lane tracks "roads" working two ways with walls right alongside and blind cornerss!

I just wanted to say that I know this house - I've driven past it so many times as I used to live in Exeter and now live in North Devon. It used to be a farmhouse owned by a brother and sister. It was so dilapidated and run-down, I thought it would have to be pulled down, but someone bought it and has done it up wonderfully. The siblings were quite a novelty act as the brother was often walking his pigs/sheep down the road in all weathers just wearing shorts/hat and wellies. The sister would also be walking down the road in wellies, loose dress with her hair all over the place, or sometimes with a scarf on!!! Don't know what happened to them. There's an old saying that if you can drive on Devon roads and in London, then you can drive anywhere.

tiabunna replied to Jenny McIntyre:

Thank you for that background information, Jenny. I found it an interesting house and clearly that goes way beyond just the visual appearance that appealed to me. This also shows that it's a small world sometimes! I must say I found driving in Cornwall more challenging than Devon - but I wouldn't even contemplate driving in London. :-)
