Re: our frogs...yes, they start singing at the end of Jan/early Feb as soon as there are a few warmer days. They must. The heat in May dries our seasonal pond by the beginning of June and they must have enough time to breed and lay eggs and then the eggs must hatch, the tadpoles must grow up fast enough to transform into froglets. It's a race like none other and so the frogs begin singing as early as they can. Do or die. As you know...*shakes my head thinking about the horrendous conditions in AU lately*
