The old signal station

This old signal station was built in 1912 near Bluff, at the southern end of New Zealand's South Island. The fixed red light on the roof still operates, but the signal station closed in 1986. HFF.

I remember that Pilot Station at Bluff, George.
In September 1975 I flew from London to Invercargill to work on a ship in Bluff and recall there was much dust in the air from a nearby aluminium smelter. HFF!

Super photo btw.
