197/366: Blushing Sweet Pea

by Janet Brien
For the first few years that Steve and I lived on our property, I had no idea this flower grew here. One June day I was wandering around our lower forest and I saw something pink growing near our property line. What a wonderful surprise I found! Heaps of wild sweet peas growing up the oaks and on logs and in thick patches on the ground! I already knew that our 26 acres hid many treasures for me if I only looked carefully, but I certainly didn't expect to find these flowers! From what I know, they only grow in one place, but now that I know they are there, I enjoy going to appreciate them every year.
