Bokeh Thursday: Pair of Wrenches

Here we have the open-end wrench and the socket wrench. Wiki's description says , "A wrench is a tool used to provide grip and mechanical advantage in applying torque to turn objects—usually rotary fasteners, such as nuts and bolts—or keep them from turning."

Did you know that there are at least 47 kinds of wrenches???! WOW!! And, in England, wrenches are called "spanners", and the two tools above would be called an "open-ended spanner" and a "ring spanner"!

If you would like to know more about the ever-useful wrench, Wiki has a great page here: Wikipedia: Wrench

They'd be called spanners here also: but whatever they're called it's a lovely shot.
