Here's Pumpkin hanging off the side of the bed, totally delighted with herself and happy as a little clam! :D

Known as the "Clown of the Parrot World," these high-energy birds are small with huge personalities. Native to the Amazon Basin in South America, they are very bold and feisty, extremely affectionate and sweet, and they are one of the only types of parrots that will bond to more than one person. (Pumpkin loves both of us very much, and has a special and unique relationship with us) There are two main types: the White Bellied, like Pumpkin, and the Black-Headed...both have white bellies so it's confusing. They have a great sense of humor and are very funny, silly birds who love to play all day long! Caiques are not good talkers, though some learn a few words. Pumpkin can say exactly one: when I hold her over the sink to do her business, she says, "Oop!!" :D She thinks that's pretty funny! Pumpkin is 10 years old and we got her when she was just 6 months old! :) We love her like our own daughter, she means the world to us!
