This flower was in my friend's garden that I photographed, and is my first encounter with a peony! Sometimes it's wonderful to see just a tiny bit of a huge flower. Peonys are a lot like dahlias until you get close and see that their petals are quite different. More like a rose but not quite! So beautiful!
