Northwestern Saxifrage: The Eighth Flower of Spring!
[best appreciated at full size against black]
The flowers are popping out of the ground at an alarming rate! How ever shall I keep up?! I discovered another this morning and yesterday I found three more! The Henderson's Shooting Star is almost open now, a dainty beauty. The explosion of life all around me is so exciting! I hope you like this flower, they are all over our meadow now, standing 1-2" off the ground on their strong, hairy stalks, topped with little white-grape buds!
