The Elbow

The Elbow section on the East Walker River, in Walker River State Recreation Area, Nevada. Looking east (downstream). The lone poplar marks the site of an old stage station. There used to be 2 poplars, but the one on the north (nearest the river) was undermined by flooding in the last year or so.

Interesting about the old stage station, I saw the remains of a couple here when I travelled outback last year. There must once have been many! A great landscape, Steve.

Thanks George, Don! It's part of Nevada's second-newest state park.

A great scene here. Wild country for sure with a look of our own (UK) northern hills on a rare dry sunny day. Well done.

Best Wishes. Herb
