Needle Rock

Near the little town of Crawford, Colorado. An eroded-out volcanic neck related to West Elk volcanism, ca. 28 million years ago. The inset shows another view, plus the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) informational sign. Nice that it's not going to be developed!

What a cool sight, totally reminds me of Close Encounters of the Third Kind but lol, it shouldn't, Devil's Tower isn't even similar! :D It's the angle! This "volcanic neck" is really interesting to see, and I liked the other view too. Thank you for sharing!
